Coolant pumps are an essential component in all fluid cooling systems. By circulating the coolant they transport heat away from its source into a heat exchanger and back into the system at a reduced temperature. Typical applications for centrifugal pumps are circulation pumps in heat exchangers and preheaters in the ship industry. Due to the systemic high temperatures the pump's housing and moving parts have to meet special material requirements.
The Schmitt UP Series' pump housings are made of stainless steel and can operate with fluid temperatures of up to 150°C. In addition, the UP series is fitted with its own cooling circuit which makes it particularly dry-run safe and ideal for operations under high thermal load.
Schmitt Kreiselpumpen specializes in centrifugal pumps for aggressive and highly pure media.
